Environment and sustainable development in the life projects of young people in the municipality of Americano do Brasil in the state of Goiás

Abstract

The Environment and Sustainable Development arause preocupations for young people, who are faced with different choices, trails, paths and alternatives to choose their future, both personal and professional growth. In this complex society, one of the demands of young people is training for work and also aware of the exploitation of man on nature. Their relations with work and the environment are essential for the development of their respective citizenships as well as the region where they operate. This work has the purpose to investigate how young people living in the city of Americano do Brasil, in the state of Goiás, are building their life projects and how they consider the fact of the Environment and Sustainable Development as factors that interfere in the construction of these projects. The methodology was the qualitative study with the use of focus groups. By understanding how these young people construct their life projects, through their experiences and their relationships with society and nature, this investigation made a registry of the main considerations of these young people for sustainable development and how public policies could provide this concretization of the projects. of life for these young people.
