The Covid-19 pandemic brought, in addition to health problems, impacts on all segments, including education. As a direct result, in-person classes were replaced by remote teaching, making use of what was available. From one moment to the next, classes took over television and computers. This, in a situation already considered bad by experts. Before the pandemic, topics such as school dropout, performance and evasion were already intensely debated. But now, with the pandemic still active, although cooled, it is necessary to investigate whether these phenomena were impacted by the events of the last two years. Objective: to prepare an exploratory study on evasion in the Covid-19 pandemic scenario and to point out possible strategies for coping with it. Methodology: This exploratory study is based on a literature review (google scholar) to facilitate reflection on the topic and presentation of coping strategies. Results: the literature shows that the concern of researchers in relation to this topic points out that the negative impact can already be felt and lists a series of coping strategies, including artificial intelligence tools. Conclusion: More than presenting a list of possible causes or trying to find ways of coping, it would be necessary to listen to the graduates for data collection and, mainly, to seek to establish the causal link between the determinants and evaluate the impact of each one, on evasion. Even if innovative technology tools are used, it is not possible to expect that all determinants are present in all cases, nor that individual responses are homogeneous. In a concrete way, this study suggests the creation of longitudinal monitoring indicators for each student, along the lines existing in the evaluation of higher education dropout.
